I grew up learning how to do different crafts, but because I love to handle beads and make necklaces, I finally just decided to try making my own. Of course, it was a learning process. I looked online for tutorials, and just did a simple Target cane. I wanted mine to look a bit tiger-ish, so I cut the soft polymer clay into several pieces, rolled them up, stuck a hole through the middle, and then set in the oven to bake.
This is how they turned out. They are not perfect, but for a first attempt at making my own, it is not too bad.

Very cute beads! I like your choice of colors. They have a pretty design and a funky handmade shape to them. If you sand them with some 400 grit wet/dry sandpaper under water and then buff with a piece of denim or felt, you’ll get a lovely finish on them. I hope you continue making polymer clay beads. It is a really fun and creative thing to do!

I appreciate it. I am probably not going to get into it hardcore, but definitely thanks for the tip on sanding the beads. Yeah, they are not perfect, but I am a beginner. I am in the works to be creative and try making a panda bear bead… nothing like my first where I had to prep a cane.
