I love shopping, especially for clothing and jewelry when I can. Rouged has given me the outlet from my other blog at Blondish to write about fashion. Fashion is in the eye of the beholder. Of course, fashion is an art itself, and like the old phrase, “everyone is a critic.”
However, I have decided that once a month I would put an outfit together from several places. Two regular sized outfits and then two for plus sizes. All of the outfits will look similar, but the pricing and stores will be different. Not everyone can afford Banana Republic or Gucci or any admirable brands. So, I am giving a little bit of everything.
For February, I wanted to go clean, and casual; a stylish white blouse and a dark pair of slacks, preferably denim or dark colored.
Regular Sizes
This set comes from New Yorker & Company. The shirt is a City Style Empire Tie Top – Metallic Trim ($23.06) and the pants are the 7th Avenue Bootcut Pant (Indigo -$29.95.)

The last outfit is another one from Walmart. Faded Glory – Women’s Plus Dobby Ruffled Cap-Sleeve Top ($14.00) and Just My Size – Women’s Plus Tall Modern Bootcut Jeans ($20).

Each one of the outfits contain a cute yet clean cut that has a little bit of shape. I did not include an accessory or shoe suggestion, but considering Spring is around the corner, a simple yellow necklace or pendant that contains yellow in it. I saw one that would be cute at NY&CO (right click to open n a new window), but was disappointed to not find anything at least at Walmart. As for shoes, a nice simple white tennis shoe for extreme casual, or a black pump to dress it up will work.

Walmart is one place I tend not to find a lot of good necklaces at. Usually the ones I find there are just metal chains in varying sizes. However, I love the outfits you found.

I would say a good statement necklace would be good with those outfits as that’s what’s going on right now. I love chunky pieces.
