facialcleansingpad-imageThere are so many out there, name brand like Oxy and Noxema, and generic brands. Some have cool tingle factors, and others do not. Truthfully, after years of using them, I have come to the conclusion that there really is no difference. They all wip away the dirt. They smell strong, and if you accidentally cut yourself (even on your fingers), it may even burn a bit. They contain very similar amounts of salicylic acid.

However, they are effective. My suggestion is to look for the generic brand, no matter where you buy your product. Walgreens and Walmart have their own generic brands. They usually cost 20 cents to 50 cents cheaper than the name brands. As said, I have not really found much of a difference in this type of beauty product.

If facial pads do not help, you should either consult a dermatologist or try another type of acne product. You should be aware that the facial cleansing pads do dry out your skin after use, so you should always have a moisterizer ready to put on.

clarisonicGiveaway contest to win a Clarisonic PLUS Skincare System with Spot Therapy.

For those who do not know what a Clarisonic PLUS is, it is a facial exfoliation brush to help with things like efficiently removing makeup and cleansing pores more effectively. Other things that will be included with the Clarisonic PLUS are:

  • Refreshing Gel Cleanser
  • Gentle Hydro Cleanser
  • Nourishing Care Cleanser
  • 2 oz. trial size of the Refining Skin Polish
  • Universal charging cradle (100v – 240v AC; 50/60Hz)
  • Sensitive face brush head
  • Spot Therapy brush head

I entered myself in the giveaway, but I think this is a good enough opportunity for others to enter and try to win one. I think it is is convenient and in the long run, good toward getting healthier skin. I get some pretty horrendous breakouts, and this might be a great way to blog about my results while using one, if I got one.

So, go on over to Things Moms Like, check out the giveaway contest and perhaps enter.

L'Oreal EverPure products

I recently received a sample of L’Oreal EverPure shampoo and condition. I like to receive samples, especially hair care items. I am very picky since my hair is very thick, almost to the middle of my back in length, and color treated. This line says it is suppose to be 100% sulfate-free to give your hair the protection it needs to stay vibrant and healthy.

After treating my hair, I did notice it looked cleaner, but it could have been because I usually use Herbal Essences Rose and Jojoba, and have not been switching out my shampoo and conditioner as often as I should. The one thing I did not like is the smell of the two products after I was done. I smelled kind of like a man that had some strong smelling minty gum. The shampoo itself has rosemary and juniper while the conditioner has rosemary and mint. By the time I got done, I remember my boyfriend asked if I had put toothpaste in my hair.

Otherwise, my hair felt smooth, but not as smooth as I am normally use to. I think that this shampoo could easily pass as something a man could tolerate more.
